So fun! And scrumptious. My husband had been going there for years because he grew up in Redwood City. I grew up a little further south so I have never been until we decided to take our four year-old. What a great time. Everything was so good. And it was so cozy And welcoming. I can't wait to go back. They put on a good show and don't require your participation, if you know what I mean. Not like the other infamous place where they try to get you involved in the food preparation production lol Here you just get to sit back, relax, munch on your appetizers while you watch them make the most delicious fried rice I've ever had. The staff are very nice and very accommodating.

If you're looking for a fun, interactive dining experience, Sakura Teppanyaki and Sushi is definitely the place to be! From the moment we walked in, the staff was super attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcome and comfortable right away. They were quick to seat us and even quicker to get the drinks flowing--love when they don't keep you waiting! The real highlight of the evening, though, was the teppanyaki experience. Watching our chef work his magic on the grill was pure entertainment--he had the whole table laughing, especially with his knife tricks and fireball skills. It's the perfect vibe for a group night out or a special occasion. The food was also delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sushi was top-notch, and the teppanyaki dishes were rich in flavor without feeling too heavy. Now, as for the price--it's a bit on the higher side for what you'd expect at a casual spot, but it's not outrageous. For the experience you get and the quality of the food, it's totally worth it. Just be prepared for a slightly higher tab, especially if you go all out with drinks or special rolls. All in all, Sakura Teppanyaki and Sushi delivers an awesome dining experience with great service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. Would I come back? Absolutely! It's a bit pricier, but for the entertainment factor alone, it's hard to beat. Definitely recommend it for a date night or a group hang with friends!

A very fun and delicious Five Star dining experience having the chef cook right in front of you....love how the chefs interacts with a table of customers. Lots of FIRE and outstanding cooking skills by all of the talented chefs. The ambiance is electric when your chef arrives and starts his presentation. It is fun to meet the other guests at your table. I loved the food and the Five Star dining experience. This was my 66th birthday dinner. I had Steak, Lobster, fried rice and vegetables. Thank you to my little grandson. This is his favorite restaurant in Redwood City. I got to hold an umbrella and my family played a tambourine and they sang happy birthday. I was given a birthday photo with my family. When we all walked out, I was given the birthday photo...thank you Sakura. Best Birthday Dinner EVER! We will be back again. Julie A

It was date night, and had to redeem my last Benihana trip with a different teppanyaki experience at Sakura. First of all, the reservations I made here were ON POINT and I was seated right away at my time and didn't have to wait which I appreciated! Food- I'd say the food was 7.5/10. Portions are generous, and the fried rice flavor was great, but I think the meat and shrimp/scallop could have had more or better seasoning. Overall it wasn't bad! Service- it was 10/10 service! The servers are super kind and attentive. Our chef was also really fun and entertaining! He made a Mickey Mouse shaped fried rice for us! Price- you can't beat the price for 2 people compared to other teppanyaki spots. The couples specials is a good deal in my opinion!! Will def be coming back!

Packed for lunch during the week. We sat at the teppanyaki table even though we got sushi and lunch boats. The lunch boat is huge - I mean really, really big and delicious. 3 slices of sashimi: ahi tuna, salmon, and hamachi. California rolls, edamame, soup, salad, and chicken. Service is great. Prices are really reasonable. 1 star taken for the over cooked chicken. I would stick to fish here or the hibachi. Parking is terrible in this area though.

Been here 3 times and have yet to leave a review. First and third time I came I had sushi and THE BEST SAKE I've ever had in my life. Literally since discovering this Sake, all I've done is try to find it and I have legit never found out in all stores I've been too. Yet if I try to Uber eats it, there it is (only discovered this after my third visit). Anyway, second time I got the hibachi steak (with chicken too maybe). It was tasty but not like to die for SAKE: unfiltered nigori- UNBELIEVABLE
